Course Overview
Across sub-disciplines in mathematical biology, the interface between analytical models and experimental data is increasingly recognized as a rich source of open problems; working at this interface allows for new mathematical insights that have broad impact in the experimental and clinical communities. This course will equip graduate students with essential techniques for research projects that complete the cycle “from models to data and back”, including data acquisition and interpretation, model selection and validation, parameter estimation and sensitivity analysis.
