Abstract:
Given that the so-called Toms-Winter conjecture is now very close to completion, we examine the examples which initially motivated the idea. They are essentially the algebras which Jesper Villadsen constructed in the mid 90s which gave the first non-Z-stable algebras which were of serious interest to the classification program of Elliott.
