The Permissioned Blockchain Onboarding Problem - How Decentralized Applications Will Drive SSI Adoption
This talk is an exploration of the unique problems centred around identity that are encountered while developing decentralized enterprise systems. Using the blockchain-based real estate applications developed at the Cybersecurity Research Lab at Ryerson University, we will go through the thought process for building the components of each application and the discovery of deficiencies in permissioned blockchain systems. As well, we will look at Self Sovereign Identity as a proposed solution to the problems addressed.
