Fields Institute COVID-19 Updates
Information for the Fields Institute Community

May 09, 2022: The Fields Institute remains closed to all but registered program participants. Though some activities are now in person, most activities of the Institute will continue online until further notice.
We are actively monitoring University of Toronto, Toronto Public Health, Public Health Ontario and Government of Canada guidance and instructions and are altering our operations accordingly.
When will the Fields Institute reopen?
The Fields Institute is closely following public health developments and directives. Some Fields Institute activity has restarted in person, with public health restrictions in place. All in person attendees to Fields Institute events must:
- Present proof of vaccination against COVID-19;
- Maintain physical distances of at least 2 meters from other people while in the building;
- Wear a face mask that covers the nose, mouth, and chin while in public spaces of the building.
These requirements will be updated as public health directives evolve. Note that the Fields Institute is located on the University of Toronto campus and follows the University's vaccination and masking policies. Notices of current directives will be posted at the entry to the building and on this page.
Note that due to the need to maintain physical distancing, office space is reserved for long-term visitors. The Hotdesk program is currently on hold until further notice.
