The Summer Institute on AI and Society
New Dates
Description
The goal of the AI Institute on AI and Society is to bring together a diverse group of thoughtful individuals at different career stages to explore some of the most critical questions we face as a society around the development and use of Artificial Intelligence. Potential impacts of AI range from specific, near-term issues such as concerns related to transparency and accountability, algorithmic bias and equity, and liability for autonomous vehicles and other automated physical systems, to longer-term disruptions to employment, economic structure, government functioning and geopolitics. Our goal is to facilitate the production of impactful research outputs that cross disciplinary boundaries of mathematics, computer science, engineering, law, sociology, philosophy, history, and art.
